We use MCT oil, which is the preferred carrier for testosterone due to its low viscosity, making injections smoother and less painful, and its rapid absorption, which supports stable testosterone levels. It has a neutral lipid profile that minimizes inflammation, is resistant to oxidation for better stability, and has low allergenic potential compared to sesame or grapeseed oil, further reducing the risk of adverse reactions.

We also use subcutaneous injections. Subcutaneous testosterone injections, administered twice weekly, are an effective alternative to intramuscular (IM) injections, offering comparable therapeutic outcomes with added benefits. Subcutaneous injections deliver testosterone into fatty tissue, allowing for a slower, more consistent release into the bloodstream, which helps maintain stable testosterone levels and reduces fluctuations associated with less frequent IM injections. The twice-weekly schedule further minimizes peaks and troughs, improving symptom management and reducing side effects like mood swings or energy crashes. Subcutaneous injections are also less painful and easier for patients to self-administer, as they use smaller needles and avoid deeper, more sensitive muscle tissue. These advantages make subcutaneous injections a convenient, effective, and patient-friendly option for TRT.
