Completion of identity and location verification
Your clinician’s medical evaluation
State availability
Safety considerations from your health history and labs
Your clinician determines whether treatment is medically appropriate.
Is there a minimum age to join?
You must meet the minimum age specified for your state and protocol.
Does Maximus replace my primary care doctor?
No. Maximus provides protocol-specific medical care. You should continue seeing your primary care provider for general health needs, chronic conditions, or urgent concerns.
Can Maximus treat urgent medical issues?
No. Maximus is not an urgent care service. For emergencies or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek in-person medical care immediately.
What does Maximus treat?
Maximus focuses on several areas:
Testosterone and reproductive health
Weight loss and metabolic support
Hair improvement
Sexual health and blood flow
Your clinician determines whether these protocols are suitable for your health profile.
Maximus does not treat unrelated medical conditions.
Can my clinician deny or discontinue treatment?
Your clinician may deny or discontinue treatment if:
It is not medically appropriate
Required labs or information are incomplete
Your health status changes
You are located in a state where Maximus is not available
You are unable to complete required verification steps
Decisions are based on safety, regulations, and clinical judgment.
What if I disagree with a clinical decision?
You may message your clinician with questions, clarify concerns, or request a review. Clinical decisions follow medical guidelines, safety considerations, and state regulations.
Does Maximus prescribe controlled substances?
Yes, Maximus does prescribe testosterone, which is a Schedule III controlled substance. At this time, testosterone therapy is only offered to our male clients. All prescriptions are determined by your clinician based on safety, clinical appropriateness, and your individual evaluation.
Can I consult with a different clinician instead?
If needed, Support can help evaluate a request for clinician reassignment. Please note that we do not typically allow provider changes, as all clinicians at Maximus operate under the same clinical guidelines and treatment protocols. Reassignments may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but must be reviewed and approved before they can be accommodated.
