Laboratory testing helps your clinician evaluate your health, determine whether a Maximus protocol is appropriate, and monitor your safety throughout your protocol. For the Enclomiphene protocol, lab testing focuses on monitoring hormone levels to ensure the protocol remains safe and effective.
Your clinician only orders labs that are medically necessary for your protocol.
Why labs are required
Labs help your clinician:
Establish baseline health markers
Confirm protocol eligibility
Monitor safety while on medication
Evaluate how your body responds to the protocol
Adjust dosing when necessary
When labs may be requested
Depending on your protocol, labs may be required at several points, including:
Before starting the protocol (baseline labs)
A few weeks after starting (typically 3–4 weeks)
Before prescription renewals
After dose adjustments
If symptoms change
Periodically for ongoing safety monitoring (commonly at months 1, 3, and 12)
Your clinician will notify you when labs are required.
Types of tests
Different protocols require different markers. Depending on your protocol, labs may include:
Total Testosterone
Free Testosterone or SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin)
Estradiol
Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
Hematocrit (HCT)
Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
Your clinician determines which tests are necessary based on your protocol and health profile.
How results are reviewed
Once your labs are processed:
Results are sent to your clinician
Your clinician reviews them alongside your medical history and symptoms
Your clinician determines next steps
Possible outcomes may include:
Starting your protocol
Continuing your protocol
Adjusting your dose
Ordering additional testing
Lab review timelines
Most lab results are reviewed within 24–48 business hours after they are submitted. Timelines may vary depending on:
Laboratory processing time
Sample quality
Testing volume
Whether additional testing is required
Timing of blood draw and shipping (for at-home kits, collect samples one hour after medication and ship Monday through Thursday to avoid delays)
Your clinician will contact you once the review is complete.
From lab results to prescription delivery
Once your lab results are reviewed, the process continues:
Video evaluation (if required). Depending on your case, you may need to schedule a video evaluation to discuss your results and protocol with your clinician. This step is often required before a prescription can be approved.
Prescription approval. After the video evaluation, your clinician approves the prescription if appropriate. This process generally takes 1–2 business days. You can monitor the status through your Maximus dashboard.
Pharmacy fulfillment and shipping. Once approved, the prescription is sent to the pharmacy for fulfillment. The pharmacy processes the order and prepares it for shipment, typically within 3–7 business days. You will receive an automated email with tracking details once your medication is shipped.
