This article explains recent updates to how Maximus weight loss plans work. If you're currently on a tirzepatide or semaglutide plan, the changes outlined below apply to you. To view your updated monthly rate, log in and visit Manage Account in your dashboard.
What's changing
Monthly billing replaces multi-month upfront billing
All standard tirzepatide and semaglutide plans are moving to a monthly billing format. Going forward, you'll be billed one month at a time — same medication, same clinical oversight, just a lower financial commitment per cycle.
One price, all doses
Your new monthly rate covers whatever dosage your doctor determines is right for you. As your prescription changes over time, your monthly cost stays the same — no repricing when you titrate up, no surprises.
Pharmacy updates
Your prescription will continue to be fulfilled through licensed 503A compounding pharmacies with appropriate state accreditation. The specific pharmacy fulfilling each prescription may change as part of these updates, but the quality and clinical standards do not.
What's NOT changing
The medication you receive
Your dosage (continues to be determined by your care team based on what's working best for you)
Your clinical oversight and care experience
Maximus's quality and safety standards
Microdose plans
If you're currently on a microdose plan, your plan structure is grandfathered and continues on an 8- or 10-week cycle depending on your state and pharmacy. Nothing about your dosage or care approach changes — only the fulfillment details behind the scenes.
Common questions
Will my next shipment be delayed? The transition is designed to minimize shipping interruptions. If your next shipment is on track, you'll receive it on the normal schedule. If a delay specific to your prescription comes up, your dashboard will reflect updated tracking and you'll receive a notification.
Will my dosage change? No. Dosage is determined by your care team based on your individual progress, and that doesn't change with this update.
What is a 503A compounding pharmacy? A 503A compounding pharmacy is a pharmacy licensed by state boards of pharmacy to prepare patient-specific compounded medications. All Maximus partner pharmacies operate under these regulations and meet appropriate state accreditation requirements.
Why is the pharmacy fulfilling my prescription changing? Maximus periodically reviews pharmacy partnerships to ensure quality, supply consistency, and patient experience. These updates allow us to maintain reliable fulfillment going forward.
Is the new pharmacy as safe as my previous one? Yes. All Maximus partner pharmacies are licensed 503A compounders with appropriate state accreditation. Our clinical and quality standards apply equally across all partner pharmacies.
Will this affect my HSA/FSA reimbursement? No. The medication, the prescription, and the way charges appear on your account are unchanged. HSA/FSA reimbursement processes work the same way. For questions about specific receipts, see How to request invoices and receipts.
Can I cancel my plan because of these changes? Subscription cancellation rules continue to apply per our standard terms. For details on how cancellation and refunds work, see Cancellation, Refunds, and Subscription Terms.
Where do I see my new rate? Log in to your dashboard and visit Manage Account — your updated monthly rate appears there.
Still have questions? For account-specific questions about your plan or billing, contact Maximus support. For clinical questions about your prescription or dosage, message your clinician through your patient portal.
