Can I use my own labs?

Criteria needed to use your own lab test / submit your own blood work

Updated this week

Yes, you can bring your own labs (BYOL) as long as the required markers are present. Starting November 26th, Maximus has streamlined its testing into a single hybrid panel for both Enclomiphene and TRT protocols. However, if you're bringing your own labs, the requirements below still apply.

Required Markers for Bringing Your Own Labs (BYOL)

Hormone Markers:

  • Total Testosterone (TT)

  • Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) and/or Free Testosterone (FT)

  • Luteinizing Hormone (LH)

Metabolic Function Markers:

  • Hematocrit (HCT)

  • Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)

Optional but recommended:

  • Estradiol (E2)

  • Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)

  • Hemoglobin

  • Albumin

Other Criteria:

  • The sample must have been collected within the last six months.

  • The sample must have been collected at least two weeks after discontinuation of the following: Anabolic Steroids, SARMs, SERMS, or Aromatase Inhibitors.

Special Note for Patients Transitioning from Injectable TRT to Enclomiphene:

You do not need to wait 2 weeks to do your baseline lab test. Ideally, you would complete the labs before administering your TRT on the same day. Once your results are available, you can send them to us. Switching from injectable TRT to enclomiphene does not necessitate coming off to qualify.

Partial Lab Work:
If you are able to provide only select markers, you are encouraged to do so. We will order you a more limited at-home test kit, which will lower the price of at-home testing to you and allow you to onboard faster.

It is common for hematocrit to be collected as part of a complete blood count (CBC) as part of a regular check-in with your doctor, so be sure to check any lab work you have available already.

Submission Process:

By uploading your results and clicking "Use my own lab" you attest your baseline lab work meets the criteria outlined above, and agree to use the same lab vendor and panel for follow-up testing.

Once uploaded, a member of the Maximus clinical team will review your lab work within 2 business days to ensure lab criteria are met. If lab criteria are not met, you will be contacted by a member of the concierge team.

Press 'Choose' to browse and select your lab work file from your device.
