The At-Home Testosterone Kit is designed to make hormone testing accessible from home. This article explains how the kit is fulfilled, shipped, returned, and processed as part of your Maximus care.
How the Kit Is Shipped
After your order is submitted:
the kit is prepared by a licensed diagnostic partner
it is shipped directly to the address in your Maximus account
tracking information is provided once the kit is on its way
If your address is incorrect or unverified, shipment may be delayed until the issue is resolved.
What’s Included in the Kit
Your package generally includes:
a collection device
step-by-step instructions
a prepaid return mailer
packaging materials required for safe return
If any component is missing or damaged, a support specialist can help with the next step.
Completing the Collection
The kit includes everything needed for at-home sample collection. For best results:
read the instructions before starting
collect your sample in a comfortable, well-lit space
follow the included steps closely
package the sample securely before returning it
If the sample cannot be processed, a replacement kit may be needed.
Returning the Sample
Once collected:
place the sample in the included packaging
use the prepaid return mailer
drop it off with the designated carrier
ship Monday through Thursday whenever possible to avoid weekend delays
Shipping outside the U.S. is not supported, and international returns cannot be processed.
Processing and Results
After the sample reaches the lab:
testing begins once the sample passes quality checks
results are posted in your portal within a standard processing window
timelines may vary based on shipping time, lab volume, and sample quality
If your sample is marked insufficient, clotted, contaminated, incomplete, or unable to meet testing requirements, you may be provided next steps.
