It's actually the opposite: Enclomiphene blocks the negative feedback of estrogen on the hypothalamus. This blockade leads to an increased release of GnRH. The increased GnRH stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to release more follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). Upon cessation of the medication you'd return to your regular pulsatile secretion of GnRH.
