How prescriptions are determined
Maximus provides medical care, not stand-alone medication fulfillment. Prescriptions are issued only when your clinician determines treatment is:
Medically appropriate
Safe based on labs and history
Allowed in your state
Refill and renewal process
Some refills are automatic, while others require:
A renewal questionnaire
Updated labs
A clinician review
A video consultation
You’ll be notified if action is required.
Early refills
Early refills are not guaranteed. If you’re running low:
Message your clinician through your portal
Explain the situation
Your clinician will determine whether an early refill is appropriate.
Common refill delays
Refills may be delayed due to:
Missing labs
Incomplete questionnaires
Pending consultations
State or pharmacy restrictions
Location verification issues
How to stay on track
Respond promptly to clinician messages and complete required steps as soon as possible to avoid delays.
