How prescriptions are determined

Maximus provides medical care, not stand-alone medication fulfillment. Prescriptions are issued only when your clinician determines treatment is:

  • Medically appropriate

  • Safe based on labs and history

  • Allowed in your state

Refill and renewal process

Some refills are automatic, while others require:

  • A renewal questionnaire

  • Updated labs

  • A clinician review

  • A video consultation

You’ll be notified if action is required.

Early refills

Early refills are not guaranteed. If you’re running low:

  • Message your clinician through your portal

  • Explain the situation
Your clinician will determine whether an early refill is appropriate.

Common refill delays

Refills may be delayed due to:

  • Missing labs

  • Incomplete questionnaires

  • Pending consultations

  • State or pharmacy restrictions

  • Location verification issues

How to stay on track

Respond promptly to clinician messages and complete required steps as soon as possible to avoid delays.
